Yesterday was the last day of AnimeCon 2009 in São Paulo.
And I went there to have some fun and spend money with fanzines and other manga stuff. Once a year I have a self-indulgence day. And it is in AnimeCon. XD

So, there we were, me and my boyfriend, checking out what was going on the manga market: plushies, T-shirts, bags, buttons, all sorts of clothing, garage kits, etc.

The number of gothic cosplayes have increased since last year. O___O

Some fanzine artists I met last year didin't show up. However, there were a lot of new artists, from whom I spent about 50% of the money I brought that day. XD

We watched people on that "Pump it Up" dancing machine. It really requires A LOT OF skill! Also, there were Guitar Hero and Wii Sports stand, for merchandising purpose and fun purpose. XD

Comix BookShop was there too, and I bought a really nice manga. It's called Deja-Vu. It's translatd from korean to portuguese.
The plot is about reincarnation and karma of two lovers that keep meeting each other on life after another. The reason for this os that in each life they couldn't live their love fully, so this keep accumulating in their karma. The plot also follows the Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter thread.
The concept of karma, being real or not, makes the story very romantic and touching. And not less sad.

Even though I haven't touched a pen or pencil in the past 2 years (almost), I still LOVE drawing and comics.

But as reality demands, I now have a second job: I'm also a chinese teacher.

But we just had a three-day weekend because of the Brazilian Independence Day. Yays!
